We love our single ingredient lists as much as you do. So why did we add sunflower oil to our cashew butter? It turns out, cashews don’t naturally contain quite as much oil as peanuts and almonds do, so when you grind them up alone, it makes more of a sticky paste than a butter. So we added a little natural sunflower oil to help it reach that smooth spreadable consistency that we all love. Try it and you’ll be glad we did!
Note: While we’re very excited to roll out our new labels for this product, we still have several hundred thousand copies (!) of our original labels in our inventory waiting to be slapped on fresh jars of cashew butter. We knew it would be really wasteful to just throw them away, so we decided to use them all up before we roll out the new designs. So while the cashew butter is just as fresh as ever, you’ll probably see the purple designs for a couple more months. Just thought you should know!
